Welcome back to Term 3,
It is wonderful to be back at APS as relieving principal. The opportunity that I have been given is not lost on me and I'm really looking forward to extending the great work that happens here every day. Thanks so much to Sam Crawford for filling many voids during the last half of Term 2.
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms Kate Butson to APS. Kate will fill an Assistant Principal role supporting Stage 2&3, will take the lead in the areas of student wellbeing and attendance as well as teaching 5/6 Pelicans each Tuesday when Mr Hutchins is in the Digital Classroom Officer role. Welcome Kate.
As is the Alstonville way, the first few weeks of term are filling with events and I encourage you to get involved or come along and support our students in any way you can. Some things on the horizon to put in your calendar include our athletics carnival at Geoff Watt Oval on Friday 28 July, Education Week in the week beginning 31 July and our 2024 Kindergarten Info night to be held on the 3 August.
