Welcome back to an exciting Term 2. It is great to once again see our students and their happy faces ready and eager to learn with their friends. We have a big term coming up, culminating in the Semester 1 reports going home to you at the end of June
I was very pleased with how Term 1 panned out, with classes settled and lots of learning taking place. Thank you to our students, parents and carers who helped us achieve a very pleasing 92.4% attendance rate (compared with 88.3% across NSW), with 74% of students attending 90% of the time or more (compared to 48.2% across NSW). I look forward to this continuing.
Thank you to the 42 students and their families who braved the weather and represented our school at the ANZAC Day march yesterday. They marched behind our school banner with respect and acknowledgement. Congratulations to Imogen Davis from 5/6 Pelicans whose short story “A Letter Home” was the winner of the RSL’s writing competition and who had it read to the congregation. Very moving. Congratulations also to Alic Jackson from K/1 Possums who laid the wreath on our school’s behalf.
The removal of the pavers under the COLA was completed over the holidays but unfortunately the weather has got in the way of the laying of concrete. This means that the whole area under the COLA is out of action this week. Hopefully the work will be completed over the weekend.
A comprehensive report on our school’s progress, achievements and financial decisions in 2022 is now available on the school website and through this link:
