Rules and policies

Rules and policies are in place to make sure your child remains safe and well at school.

Visit the NSW Department of Education’s policy library for all current operational policies.

Attendance and absences

Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.

In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent.

For more information about compulsory school attendance, visit:

School frameworks (school policies)

The following frameworks apply to students at our school.

Leaving school grounds

If your child's going home or coming to school routine is to be altered, please advise the school.

Arriving late/leaving early

Children who arrive late at school require a late note from the front office on arrival. Children give the note to their teacher.  If you need to pick up your child/children early, please attend the front office and sign them out.

Payment of money

Payment by children for excursions, visiting performances and other class and school activities must be made at the office between 8:45am and 9:15am. Payments can also be made online by visiting the school website and following the 'Make a Payment' link.

Transfer to other schools

If a child is to transfer to another government school, a transfer certificate should be obtained from the Principal. Transfer certificates are not required when moving to/or from a non-government school or interstate.

Change of details

Please notify the office of any changes in phone contact, address, medical conditions, and custody. It is very important to have up to date information and contact details including emergency contacts.
