Our lunchtime group in the Red Kangaroo room is up and running to cater for those looking for something a little bit different. Mrs Law and Mrs Mackie are focusing on the social/emotional development of our students through Maker Monday (K-2), Tutorial Tuesday (3-4) and Walk-in Wellbeing Wednesday (5-6). The aim is to provide a calm space to explore issues such as turn-taking and making new friends in fun and creative ways.
We have already had a tutorial in making origami hearts and we made Valentine's Day messages to deliver to Alstonville Baptist Care. The residents of C wing were so grateful, and we loved working together to give a little happiness to others!
