The Hub is a beautiful space where students can come and lose themselves in a great book and learn about accessing information. The theme for Book Week this year is ‘Read Grow Inspire’ and our hope is that all the students will enjoy reading more and their imaginations grow as they are inspired by great authors and illustrators.
Each class is timetabled for an hour of class time in The Hub, guided by our teacher librarian, Marrion Thwaites. We have just purchased a load of new books for the students to peruse. The Hub is also open for students at lunch and recess. During this time there are puzzles, cards, lego and building toys, colouring-in and other games for the students to play with. Some students come to The Hub at play time just to chill or, of course, read.
