Stage 3 students welcomed parents and carers to school to share their learning in science this term.
Students have been learning about forces in class. They worked in small groups and used found and recycled items to create prototype cars. They then experimented with environmentally friendly ways to propel their cars. Rubber bands were popular, as were balloons and mousetraps. A couple of groups tried using chemical reactions to power their cars and another group used air pressure. All groups recorded their learning in interactive learning journals. They enjoyed sharing their journals and their prototypes with parents or carers before putting their prototypes to the test in a series of races. It was a great day!
