The APS chess team at Emmanuel

Congratulations to our APS chess club who performed a clean-sweep of the podium positions at the Term 1 NSW Northern Rivers Inter-school Chess Tournament.

A total of 21 teams from APS, Emmanuel Anglican College, Holy Family Catholic Primary School and St Joseph's Primary School took part in the primary division.  Ribbons were awarded to students who earned at least 4.5 points from their 7 matches and medals were awarded to the top three teams and top three individuals.

Teams from APS finished first, second, third and fourth and Zarco was crowned individual champion.

Chess club meets every Tuesday at recess in 5/6 Pelicans. All are welcome.
